Now that it’s finally feeling like summer let’s get to work! Wait, work? Yep. There’s a ton of trail work out there both for new dirt to shred and to help maintain existing routes. On our Volunteer page you can find links to different organizations that all work toward improving out trail networks. Pick a trail project and come get dirty!
In addition to the usual suspects, the Colorado Trail Foundation will have several volunteer work crews in Summit County this year. The biggest one for MTBers will be the restoration of the Gold Hill trail which was heavily impacted by recent clear cutting.
July 11 – 18 Wheeler trail on Copper side.
July 11 – 18 Searle Pass to Kokomo Pass
July 25 – Aug. 1 Gold Hill trail. Reroute and rehab Gold Hill trail impacted by logging.
